Red Chairlift Replacement Committee – Terms of Reference
Purpose:
To support the advancement of the Red Chairlift Replacement project by leveraging the experience and insights of club Members in key areas critical to the project’s success.
Project Context:
The Red Chairlift is targeted for replacement in Spring 2028, with the order placed in 2027. This option is contingent on receiving a deferral for the 2027 TSSA audit. Estimated chairlift cost: $3.69M (excluding HVHSA costs).
Committee Mandate:
- Provide input and guidance on financial planning related to the capital project.
- Assist in developing a fundraising campaign and/or sponsorship strategy.
- Support the development of Member communications and engagement strategies.
- Act as a sounding board for project updates and milestones.
Key Deliverables:
- Financial input on timing and funding strategy for the lift replacement.
- Recommendations for fundraising and/or sponsorship initiatives.
- Guidance on Member engagement and communication approaches.
Committee Membership & Leadership:
- The Committee will be chaired by a current Board Member, appointed by the Board of Directors.
- Committee Members will be selected based on relevant skill sets and experience.
- A Committee Member will be designated to record meeting notes and action items.
Reporting & Authority:
- The Committee Chair will report updates and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- The Committee acts in an advisory capacity and does not have decision-making authority.
Time Commitment & Term:
- This is an ad-hoc Committee established to support the Red Chairlift Replacement project through to project completion or Board direction.
- Monthly meetings (virtual or in person) through the 2026-27 season, or as needed based on project timelines.
- Occasional review of materials or participation in working sessions.
Quorum & Meeting Procedures:
- A Quorum shall consist of a simple majority of Committee Members.
- Meeting decisions or recommendations require a quorum and consensus of Members present.
