School Winter Elective Program
Bring your school for multiple full or half-day trips as part of your winter electives program. We will help you meet curriculum guidelines for physical and health education in a safe, fun environment. Your students will have a great time playing, learning, and experiencing alpine sports in beautiful Muskoka.
Our School Winter Elective Program is for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Experienced certified instructors will have most beginner skiers/boarders skiing and riding on the beginner slopes and using the lifts within a few short hours. More advanced skiers and riders will be challenged to develop their skills, explore more difficult terrain, and play with freestyle and racing techniques.
School Winter Elective Program Rates 2023-2024 Season:
To qualify for our School Program Rates your school group must attend multiple visits on Mondays, Thursdays, or Fridays between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm as part of an organized School Winter Elective Program.
This program must be booked in advance. Please book early, with a focus on small group sizes and maintaining cohorts availability is limited. Please call 1-800-398-9555, 705-789-1773 ext. 30, or email snowschool@skihiddenvalley.ca to inquire or reserve your dates.
New for this season, we will set up a group portal for participants to register directly and to submit all required information. Your group will have options either to be invoiced for your visit after your visit, or for participants to pay directly at the time of booking. We will require a group leader (teacher, principal, parent volunteer) to be assigned the group leader role online for your group. The Group leader will have access to ecords of all registered group members, purchases/ registrations, waivers etc. The group leader will need to set up an account at https://shop.skihiddenvalley.ca/register
Helmets are mandatory for all participants in the School Program. Helmets are available to ALL students and chaperones, not just those requiring other rental equipment. The use of helmets is included in the price of the program.

Chaperones:
One teacher or parent / for each ten (10) students will receive a complimentary lift ticket and rental equipment package as required.

OSBIE Information Package and Waiver Forms
When planning a skiing and snowboarding school trip:
- Please be aware of OSBIE’s policies related to these excursions (see the package below)
- Include a review of the Alpine Responsibility Code and Lift Safety in pre-trip discussions with participants
- Ensure each student has a signed and completed OSBIE waiver (section 1B)
- Please note that OSBIE may be providing an updated package as the season approaches
