The Board of Directors and Management of the Muskoka Ski Club and Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area are super excited to re-open the ski hill on Wednesday, February 17th!
We have missed having all the smiling faces on our slopes so much that we will be adding Wednesday, day and night, to our regular operations until at least the end of March Break (March 19th). We will now operate Wednesday to Monday days and Wednesday to Saturday nights. The lifts will be spinning Wednesday to Saturday from 9 am to 9 pm and Sunday and Monday from 9 am until 4 pm. Also, it is our current plans to operate into April provided Mother Nature will allow us to.
There will be a number of precautions and restrictions in place to make skiing and snowboarding the safest outdoor winter amenity. We are waiting to hear which colour zone we will be in upon reopening so that we can determine the restrictions and safety precautions we will need to have in place. Many of the same rules from December will still be in place like having to buy your lift tickets and rentals online and in advance, wearing masks while riding the lifts and waiting in lines, practicing physical distancing and limited access to the chalet.
We will need to have all our Members, Guests and ski or snowboard enthusiasts respect the COVID precautions so that Hidden Valley is a safe place to play. Please listen for information about how we can all hit the slopes and have as much fun as possible.
