Hidden Valley Highlands is located approximately a 2 ½ hour drive north of Toronto. We are located just off Highway 60, 6 km east of downtown Huntsville, close to both Deerhurst Resort and the Hidden Valley Resort.
We suggest you arrive at least 1 hour ahead of your lesson time or expected ski/ride time to allow enough time to purchase your ticket and organize rental equipment and/or snow school lessons.
New this year all Lift Tickets, Rentals and Lessons will be sold online only and it is recommended that you purchase in advance of your visit. We do not expect walk-up lift tickets to be available this winter at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area. Guests are strongly encouraged to plan ahead by purchasing their lift tickets in advance online to avoid disappointment. We cannot guarantee same-day availability of Lift Tickets at this time.
From our parking lot, you enter our Chalet on the upper level or top floor, please follow all navigation signs posted and practice Physical Distancing. If you are a first-time skier or snowboarder we strongly recommend that you take a lesson to ensure a safe and more enjoyable experience.
It is best to book your ski or snowboard lesson first as some packages, like our Discover Skiing or Snowboarding packages, include your equipment rental or lift ticket. The Snow School desk is located at Customer Service on the upper level of the Chalet. Ask about your different options–our Snow School staff can recommend the best type of lesson for you. Again, all lessons are sold ONLINE ONLY this season.
If all you require is a lift ticket, you need to purchase your lift ticket online through our website. You will receive a print out with a barcode that you will present at our ticket counter to redeem for your lift ticket on the day of your visit. On arrival, you will find the ticket counter on your left as you enter the main area of the upper level.
Please be ready to present your printout and to answer the Covid-19 Screening Questions at the Guest Services desk to receive your lift ticket. If you are not familiar with attaching your lift ticket to your jacket, our staff will provide instructions–your ticket must be both comfortable for you to wear and visible at all times.
If you require rental equipment, you must purchase online this season. The rental shop is located on the lower level of the Chalet – take the stairs from the far left corner of the upper level and follow them all the way down.
You’ve got all of your gear… you are all bundled up and ready to go have fun!
Other Helpful Information
Day Lockers — Based on Availability.
Day lockers are available on the top floor of the Chalet adjacent to the ticket counter for $1 (Lockers accept Loonies only). Be aware that these lockers require $1 each time they are locked. Due to Covid-19, it is not recommended to leave your personal belongings inside the chalet. Treat your vehicle as your chalet and store items there while riding the slopes.
Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the universal symbols on our trail map and outdoor signage. Make sure that you choose slopes that are within your ability level.
Restrooms are located at the back of the lower level and in the centre of the second level. A wheelchair-accessible washroom is located to the left of the main doors on the upper level. Washrooms located in the building at the base of the hill beside the Ski Patrol clinic will not be open to the General Public for the 2020-21 season.
If someone is injured, please approach any staff member and have them call for ski patrol. The Ski Patrol clinic is located at the base of the hill between the bottom stations of the Iroquois (Red) and Algonquin (Green) Chairlifts.
Our fully-licensed cafeteria is located on the second level of the Chalet and is open daily from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm (or until 9:00 pm when night skiing is available).
